Richmond–San Rafael Bridge Trail Anniversary Ride

Saturday, November 14, 2026
Meet 10:00 AM, roll 10:30 AM (until about 2:00 PM)
Richmond BART, west side plaza, Richmond

Riding across the Bay on a bridge is the kind of thing most people mean to do once and never get around to. This group ride is the easy way: someone else plans the route and you ride with a crowd, on the protected path that opened on the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge seven years ago.

The ride is put on by Bike East Bay with the Marin County Bicycle Coalition and Richmond partners. A big turnout is also the simplest way to show that the path gets used.

Getting there from Walnut Creek

Take BART with your bike. From Walnut Creek, ride the Yellow line toward San Francisco and change at MacArthur to a Richmond-bound train. The group meets on the west side plaza at Richmond BART.

Before you go

Bike East Bay asks riders to RSVP so they can plan for the group. The route is posted on the event page. Bring water, a snack, and layers, because it is often windy on the bridge.
