The City of Concord is putting on its first-ever Pedal Fest, a free community biking festival built around getting families out on bikes together. It is a neighboring-city event rather than one of ours, but it is close enough to be an easy day trip and worth supporting: a well-attended first year is what convinces a city to do it again.
Planned activities include biking safety instruction, hands-on skills workshops, bike demonstrations, educational booths, arts and crafts, live music, community vendors, food trucks, and giveaways.
Admission is free and no registration is required. Bring your own bike.
The festival is spread across two sites in Concord:
Concord has announced the date and the locations but has not yet published start and end times or said which activities happen at which site. The city describes the event as still in the works, with more updates to come.
We will update this page as Concord announces details. In the meantime, put Sunday, September 27 on the calendar.
