Bike Family Fest 2026
A free bike festival for the whole family
The Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) is hosting Bike Family Fest, a free community-wide event to encourage and support kids who want to bike, whether they already ride or are just getting started. It runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Diablo Valley College overflow parking lot in Pleasant Hill, a short ride from Walnut Creek along the Contra Costa Canal Trail.
Activities include a pump track and obstacle courses for multiple skill levels, free bike tune-ups and repairs, helmet fit checks, demo bikes from Woom and Mike's Bikes, bike maintenance workshops, canal trail etiquette training, cargo bike demonstrations, a button-making and book station, food trucks, and live music.
Bring a bike and a helmet. The event is aimed at families with kids ages 2-11, but everyone in the community is welcome.
Pre-registration is required for all attendees, adults and children, through the event's online registration form. Free parking is available in DVC Lots 6 and 7, and County Connection buses #314, #316, and #320 serve the event with bike racks on the front of the bus.
